Coach Kato Brian grew up a street kid in Uganda, so knows first-hand how these rejected children are treated – like vermin. He takes them off the streets and arranges scholarships for them to go to school. He promotes teamwork and ambition though sports. He is training up these children in the way they should go, using Godly principles. Let us support him in his efforts!

Coach Kato Brian believes that sports will give these rejected street children a chance in life. Many of these children excel in sports, winning trophies and gaining positions on regional teams. But, they need sports equipment and transportation to get to matches. Help these children become winners in life!

LTW – School Fees and Materials

Coach Kato Brian is keen that these street children get a chance to thrive at school. He finds some of the children scholarships in nearby schools. The others need to pay for school fees and materials (calculators, etc). They do their very best in the exams and are proud of their academic achievements.

Coach Kato Brian now has over 40 street children finding love and security under his care. A one-off donation helps buy food and clothing. Every cent helps.

*Instructions: how to create your own Charity Gift Card

Ingredients (if you want to create your own charity gift cards, or, just contact me and I can send you a completed sheet as a PDF):

  • Computer with a word processing app.
  • A4 or letter paper – can be white or a pretty light-coloured sheet.
  • Commercially produced greeting card/s or a sheet of light card to make your own.
  • Scissors and glue stick
  • Pen or marker

Method

  1. Browse through the children’s ministries above and choose one.
  1. Donate to that charity the amount you would spend on your loved-one for this occasion [see details under the heading of that charity]. If you plan to make more than one card, you can make one donation to cover them all.
  1. Open a word processor document (or contact me to send you the completed PDF)
  2. Copy the photo, or so a screenshot, and paste it into the document – crop the photo so that it fits into the left half of the page.
  1. (If the photo does not already have text, copy the text under the photo and paste it into your Word document below your pasted photo. Feel free to amend it, personalize it, and adjust the layout. Make sure that the text and the photo fit into a quarter of the page.)
  1. (Repeat for another 3 charities / children, if you wish.)
  2. Print the page.
  1. Cut the page into quarters.
  1. Glue each quarter into the inside of your greeting card – either one you have made yourself or a commercially produced card. Add glitter or ribbons – feel free to be creative!
  1. Write in your greeting in each of your cards.
  1. Post or hand out your charity gift cards to your loved-ones and glow with delight, knowing that your gift will be hugely appreciated more than one person!
  2. Repeat for next occasion!
