Set Apart
As our home page says, kedesh in Hebrew means set apart. How does that change the way you see yourself? Your life? Your future? Your service to the LORD? Your hope?
The LORD, the Creator of everything, created you, uniquely, just like everyone else. You are like a spoon, which He has taken you out of the kitchen drawer [the world] and placed you in the sugar bowl [the special position He designed you to fulfil]. Any spoon in that drawer could have done this job, but He chose you? Even a knife (or perhaps a fork if it had to) is capable of carrying the precious crystals [God’s Word] from the bowl to the cup, but He chose you!
How does that make you feel?
But, we get too weighed down by things He does not care about? Do I look right? Am I the right shape? Am I the wrong colour? I’m too old? Too young? I was trampled and now I have a bend. I was crushed and now I am flat. But, His calling on your life as that sugar spoon has not been revoked.
Kedesh has been inspired to encourage you in your walk with the LORD, no matter where you are and what stage of your calling you are at.
